Which carriers are supported by the ShipMatrix software?
At the present time, United Parcel Service, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground (formerly RPS) DHL and United States Postal Service.

What hardware platforms and operating systems does ShipMatrix operate on?
The software works on the following operating systems: Win95, Win98, Win2000, Windows NT, WinME and WindowsXP. Any hardware that can run an application on the listed operating systems at an acceptable performance level can run ShipMatrix. An Internet connection is required, and as with any Internet connection, the faster the better. We do not recommend installing ShipMatrix on a server. It is designed to run on a workstation in the corporate network or stand-alone PC.

What if I'm using the carrier's software and the PC that they gave us to produce our shipping manifest and labels?
An interface has been created to the UPS OnLine® Professional system, UPS Worldship system, FedEx Powership® and the DHL Libra™ system.

I have my own shipping manifest system. Can I use ShipMatrix?
If your shipping system can output the basic shipping information into a computer file, either through the use of a report writer or data query tool, then you can use ShipMatrix.

Can I use ShipMatrix on my inbound shipments as a collect customer?
Yes. The ShipMatrix program can process collect shipments when the shipping database lacks the vendor's ship date.

How can I test ShipMatrix without downloading the software?
You can e-mail us the database file from your shipping system and we can process a group of records for you as a trial run. Simply fill out a Shipping Performance Analysis request and we will send you instructions on how to proceed.

How are service commitments and exemptions kept current?
An integral part of the ShipMatrix program is to check for such contingency conditions prior to every tracking session. Service level change by zip codes and National holidays observed by the carriers are constantly updated within the program. ShipMatrix captures exemption conditions for bad weather and takes them into account, thus assuring extremely accurate refund filing, as well as giving the shipper feedback about unusual circumstances involved with the delivery process.

How do I file for any eligible GSR's?
ShipMatrix automatically identifies late deliveries that are "eligible" for refund and generates a request to the carriers in an acceptable format.

How long will it take to operate?
ShipMatrix Software requires only minutes per week to start tracking and than it runs without operator intervention. When done, you have to only print the reports and mail them to the carrier.

What if I need custom reports for my operation?
The ShipMatrix Enterprise version lets you export the shipping data details to a comma-delimited ASCII text file or directly to a Microsoft Access 97/2000 database. Using these tools, you can create your own analysis and reports. If you want a more push-button approach to specialized reporting, ShipMatrix can create custom executable stand-alone reports for you.

If I am having technical difficulty, how can I obtain technical support?
We have gone to great efforts to provide an easy installation process and ongoing error-free processing. However, due to the unlimited configurations and environments in which a PC can operate, technical support may be required. Hence, we offer on-line, phone and on-site technical support.
